Malai Farm is a private animal park located just outside Cha-Am and is easily accessible by car or motorcycle.
Admission to Malai Farm is practically free – you just pay 100 baht to buy some food for the animals. Once the food is used up, you can buy more food at various stations for 20 baht each.
The area is quite large and there are many animals to see. Dromedaries, horses, goats, sheep, buffaloes, birds, pigs, turtles and crocodiles, to name but a few. It’s definitely great fun for children to feed the various animals. You can even feed the crocodiles.
There is also a small bistro with a playground where you can buy something to eat or drink. However, there is only fast food here, such as cheese balls or fish sticks.
We have visited Malai Farm several times now, and Enea has a lot of fun every time and always wants to take animals home with him.
Yes, by German standards there is certainly room for improvement when it comes to animal husbandry. But even in Europe I have seen zoos and animal parks that looked worse.
Malai Farm has a good rating on various rating portals. We can therefore definitely recommend a visit. The children will definitely have fun.
